Welcome to Barn Croft Primary School!
We are a small (but mighty) one-form entry primary school in Waltham Forest, where children are at the heart of everything we do. The moment I first visited Barn Croft, I was struck by the warmth, enthusiasm, and dedication of the pupils, staff, and wider community. It was clear that this is a school where children thrive—not just academically but as curious, creative, and confident individuals. I am incredibly excited for the journey ahead as we continue to build on the school’s strengths and embrace the bright future before us.
Barn Croft is a truly inclusive school, where every child is valued and supported to reach their full potential, regardless of their starting points or needs. We believe in developing the whole child—fostering a love of learning while also nurturing creativity, independence, and a sense of responsibility. Our children are artists, thinkers, leaders, and changemakers. We empower them to have a voice, to take on leadership roles, and to shape their school experience through initiatives such as the school council, peer mentoring, and playground friends. We pride ourselves on being a school of the community, for the community, with everyone—staff, parents, and children—working together to make Barn Croft the best it can be.
Our setting is unique, with an incredible site that gives the school a village feel. With space dedicated to art, gardening, and our much-loved outdoor learning, our children benefit from hands-on experiences that enrich their learning beyond the classroom. From exciting trips to a curriculum designed to inspire, we ensure every child has the broadest possible experiences to prepare them for the world ahead. We want our children to leave Barn Croft with smiles on their faces, a belief that they can achieve anything, and the foundations for a bright and successful future.
