Barn Croft Primary School

Rights Respecting Schools

Barn Croft Primary School is proud to have been awarded the Bronze: Rights Committed Award as part of our journey to becoming a UNICEF UK Rights Respecting School. This achievement marks an exciting first step in embedding the values of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) into every aspect of school life. Our commitment to this journey reflects our belief that every child has the right to feel safe, to be heard, and to thrive in an environment where respect and dignity are central.

The Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) puts children’s rights at the heart of schools, helping to create a nurturing, respectful culture where pupils grow into confident, active global citizens. At Barn Croft, we look forward to further developing our understanding of children’s rights and incorporating them across the curriculum, relationships, and the school ethos. We are excited to work together with our pupils, staff, and families as we progress toward the Silver award and beyond.
