School Meals

School Meals

We have two options at lunchtime and the most popular of these is the school dinner. Our school meals are prepared and cooked fresh every day in our own kitchen. There is always plenty of choice with two or three savoury choices including vegetarian options, halal meat and a daily salad bar. The cook also prepares a daily pudding or there is the option of fresh fruit or yogurt. Our kitchen is proud to use all organic ingredients. The menu changes termly so that it includes seasonal changes.

All children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 are entitled to a free school meal. For Key Stage 2 the cost of the daily meal is, at present, £2.60 and can be paid for using our online payment system, ParentMail .

Please click on the School Lunch logo to go to the Waltham Forest lunches website. Please click the lunch tray to see the current term’s menu.

If you believe that your child may be entitled to free school meals then it is necessary to apply online at www.walthamforest.gov.uk/schoolmeals or ask at the school office and staff will be happy to help you with this process.  The Waltham Forest Free School Meals Leaflet can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

The second option if you prefer is for your child to bring a healthy packed lunch to school.  We encourage all our pupils to have a healthy lifestyle and therefore fizzy drinks, chocolate and sweets are not allowed and we do not have  the facilities to reheat food from home. A guide to healthy Packed Lunches can be downloaded below.
