Welcome

Barn Croft is a good school and we are always striving to improve the opportunities and experiences for our amazing children and their families. We offer a range of extra-curricular after school clubs run by our own staff and outside organisations. These include arts & crafts, sports, cooking, gardening and choir. We have two growing gardens on site and an allotment very close to the school and all children work hard to learn how to plant, grow, harvest and then cook fruit and vegetables and learn how to eat healthily. We have a wonderful Wildlife Garden which gives our children the experience of learning outdoors as much as possible and one of our teachers is a trained Forest School Teacher and so our children benefit from sessions with her as well. We will be offering after school and holiday Forest School sessions in the very near future.

We have a wonderful community around us and the parent body is extremely supportive and active so we would encourage you to come along to Friends of Barn Croft meetings and get involved in school life. We try hard to maintain excellent communication with our parents & carers and our Facebook and Twitter feeds are regularly updated to inform parents & carers of events, news and what the children have been doing. Our website is another way in which we can inform the community about our many developments. Through this website the staff, pupils and governors hope to give you a flavour of life at Barn Croft. If you have suggestions or ideas about how we could improve this site or other aspects of school life please do not hesitate to contact us.

We hope you enjoy what you see – please do not hesitate to contact us if you wish to visit and have a tour of the school.
