Welcome to Year 6 class

Our class Teacher is Miss Kousidou

Welcome back to a Year 6 at Barn Croft! A warm welcome to any new parents/ carers. My name is Ms Kousidou and I am beyond excited to be teaching ‘Alan Turing’ class in their final year in primary school. In Year 6, we are lucky to have the valuable support of the amazing Mrs Nazir. 

There are so many things we have to look forward to this year. Year 6 is a challenging and transitional year and we work hard to ensure that all the children are given the best opportunity possible to achieve their full potential. However, we also ensure that we have fun along the way and provide the children with some lovely lasting memories. 

Together we will be curious scientists and investigate how species evolve and how we classify them; we will build our own circuits and explore how light travels. We will learn about WW2 and the ancient Mayan civilisation and we will land in ‘tomorrow’s world’ by teaching the children how to build a website! 

In our class we celebrate the rich diversity across Barn Croft and wider local community. We endeavour to nurture our children’s individuality, supporting their development of interpersonal skills and resilience to become creative, critical thinkers.
